Perfume atomizers can accumulate dirt over time, and the nozzle may get obstructed.
Simple Steps
Glass Bottle Maintenance
Detach the sprayer from the bottle.
Swirl denatured or scentless alcohol (e.g., plain vodka) around the bottle, ensuring thorough coverage.
Empty the alcohol from the bottle.
Flush with hot water.
Let the bottle drain and air dry.
For stubborn stains inside the bottle, use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to carefully wipe the affected area. Tilt the bottle if necessary. Allow it to air dry afterward.
Cleaning the Atomizer Sprayer
Remove any residue from the surface of the sprayer using a cloth dampened in denatured alcohol.
Submerge the pipette end of the sprayer in denatured alcohol.
Depress the spray mechanism to allow the alcohol to flow through the pipette and sprayer. Continue spraying until it operates smoothly.
Additional Tips
For plastic bottles, this method is less effective in eliminating odors as plastic tends to retain odors more stubbornly.
Warnings
Cleaning the interior of certain atomizers may pose challenges. Experiment with different angles to access with swabs and cloths.
