According to Tâm Vũ, the product has already received orders from 28 countries worldwide despite not being officially launched yet. Tâm Vũ states that this is just the beginning, as once the product hits the market and users start adopting it, its impact will only grow further.
Tâm Vũ also sees COVID-19 as both a challenge and an opportunity. Post-pandemic, the number of people facing sleep and health-related issues has increased significantly. However, Tâm Vũ also emphasizes that Earable Neuroscience will assess markets based on purchasing power, user demand for health enhancement, and user understanding of sleep quality improvement before entering any market.
Tâm Vũ also emphasizes the development motto of himself and Earable Neuroscience: 'We will never have the best product without having a better one. From a user's perspective, I would choose a better product when comparing products. From a business perspective, technological development means there's no best, only good, better, and better.'
Creativity is the core of innovation and development, but it must be within bounds
Early adoption and bringing new healthcare products to users, Tâm Võ stresses the importance of creativity in innovation, technology development, especially in Vietnam. However, he also believes that creativity within bounds, based on genuine new research, is what truly leads to success.
He provides a specific example: 'For instance, initially, we designed a mold for each product shell, costing 2 billion VND and taking 8 weeks to make. However, a designer unexpectedly deviated from the process, making a tweak to optimize, but ultimately, the mold was damaged. So, we incurred the entire cost and had to spend additional time to redo it.'
Besides, he also mentioned no regrets for relinquishing his prestigious professorship at Oxford University to become an entrepreneur and even starting up a healthcare-focused startup. He shared: 'My measure is: the number of people I can make their lives better, by having better health, having a better quality of life.'
