The story began in August last year when renowned gaming journalist Jason Schreier from Bloomberg revealed that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake would break free from its stagnant state by shifting development studios from Aspyr Media to Saber Interactive. This decision came after Aspyr Media's demo failed to impress, leaving the community dissatisfied. However, since then, the parent company, Embracer, has consistently refused to provide new information about the project. The CEO of the company also adamantly avoids further discussion, believing that more talk would only stir up unnecessary controversy.
Until earlier this week, another source claimed that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake was in a 'clinically dead' state at Saber Interactive due to a lack of staff working on the project. This news disappointed many fans.
However, just a few days later, journalist Jason revealed on Twitter that he had spoken with several Saber Interactive employees and confirmed that at least two of them are still working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. This breathed new hope into fans.
Nevertheless, all these ups and downs are merely unofficial hearsay and café talk. The studio remains silent, unwilling to divulge any further details. The community can only wait and speculate to pass the time.
