Speculations about Characters like Mel and Silco Becoming New Champions in LoL Officially Denied by Riot.
On November 20, the final 3 episodes of Arcane Chapter III were released, receiving widespread acclaim from critics and audiences. The series even secured a spot in the top 15 TV shows with the highest ratings of all time on IMDb.

Arcane's uniqueness lies in not only focusing on building characters that have appeared in LoL but also in brilliantly developing characters like Mel Medarda and Silco. Despite not being LoL champions, these characters have gained a considerable fan base through their exceptional portrayal in the Arcane series.

Many theories speculated that Mel or Silco would become new champions in LoL. For instance, Riot introduced a new character with the ability to manipulate and control others, sharing similarities with Mel and Silco. However, Riot's latest move confirms that the upcoming champions have no connection to the Arcane series, much to the joy of fans.

Lead champion producer at Riot - Riot Reav3: 'We delayed the release of new champions until the end of the year for a reason. I can't reveal the details at this time because I don't know what the event is or when the new champion roadmap article will be released. We feel it would be unfortunate to introduce a champion unrelated to or present in the Arcane series amid the Riot x Arcane event.'
However, with Arcane capturing the hearts of fans, we're excited to explore the characters in this series. While it aligns well with a MOBA game like LoL, that's a story for the future.

With Riot Games' statement, all theories about Arcane characters appearing in LoL have been debunked. Essentially, we still have no additional information about the new champions in LoL, knowing only that they will be a Marksman - Support duo. Perhaps we will have to wait until early 2022 to get a more detailed look at the new characters Riot is adding to the game.
Additionally, the Udyr rework is noteworthy as it will provide information about another Frost Demigod from Freljord. Riot has shared that Udyr's 'new' stances will be based on the Frost Demigods of this icy land. Currently, only Ornn, Volibear, and Anivia have been introduced, while Udyr has four abilities. It is possible that Udyr's release will also introduce the fourth Frost Demigod, and who knows, maybe it's another new character in LoL.
