It's unclear whether the League of Legends design team and Teamfight Tactics designers consulted each other on the Aurelion Sol rework.
Aurelion Sol is arguably one of the most impressive lore characters in League of Legends. According to Riot's introduction, Aurelion Sol is an immensely powerful entity in the form of a cosmic dragon. This character is so powerful that he can literally 'crush' a star with his bare hands.

Despite possessing such tremendous power in the lore, Aurelion Sol's gameplay doesn't quite reflect this. Therefore, over the past few years, the topic of reworking Aurelion Sol has always been hotly debated in the community as people discuss how Riot will reimagine this dragon. And in the latest video from Riot Games, the first details of the Aurelion Sol rework have been revealed.
Specifically, the person in charge of this rework will be Riot King Cobra, a member of the champion development team. According to Riot's sharing, one idea they're working on with Aurelion Sol is that the character's skills will increase in size as the match progresses. The goal is to help players feel the 'force' of Aurelion Sol as the game enters its final phase.

If you're a Teamfight Tactics player, you may find Riot's above shares extremely familiar. The reason is that in the 'chess pieces' mode, Aurelion Sol also possesses a similar effect in his skills. Specifically, when the round transitions to the late stage in Teamfight Tactics, the black hole created by Aurelion Sol will be larger and deal additional damage.

It's highly likely that the League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics development teams have collaborated and brainstormed the aforementioned idea for Aurelion Sol. Frankly, Aurelion Sol's ability to create black holes and deal tremendous damage in Teamfight Tactics seems to resonate more with the character's lore than with League of Legends itself.

Perhaps Aurelion Sol's issue has never been his power because in reality, this champion can still inflict a significant amount of damage with his current set of abilities. However, aesthetically, Aurelion Sol's ability effects don't quite satisfy players as they do in the lore. If this is addressed, Aurelion Sol will undoubtedly become very popular in the future.
