Vayne currently boasts an overwhelming win rate and pick rate in the ADC position.
As we've seen, thanks to the impact of the Arcane series, pick rates for ADC champions like Jinx and Caitlyn have surged in recent times. However, their actual effectiveness remains low, with win rates below 50%. Meanwhile, Vayne has continued to surprise with her exceptionally high win rate and pick rate, which have remained consistently high since patch 11.23, around 5 months ago.

So what makes Vayne so dominant at this point? The answer likely lies in her synergy with the newly introduced Lethal Tempo Keystone Rune. With its attack speed boost upon dealing damage, Lethal Tempo proves to be an excellent fit for champions like Vayne who excel in prolonged engagements.
Furthermore, this allows Vayne to forego using the Press the Attack Keystone Rune as before, increasing her lane presence. Essentially, Vayne's weakness compared to other champions using Press the Attack is her lack of direct damage-dealing abilities, relying entirely on basic attacks. Thus, her damage output with this rune is significantly lower.

However, it's important to note that even when forced to use a less optimal Keystone Rune like Press the Attack, Vayne's win rate has always been high. This means that Vayne is currently in an extremely unbalanced state, and the changes in the 2022 Preseason only serve to highlight her dominance further.
The reason behind this dominance stems from the new gear introduced in LoL season 11, which effectively addresses all of Vayne's weaknesses. With her short range, Vayne was prone to being taken down in the mid-game when she had to build attack speed items. However, by heavily relying on items like The Bloodthirster and Blade of the Ruined King, Vayne not only gains a considerable shield and robust magic resistance but also rarely falls victim to being burst down as before.

Clearly, if you can't burst Vayne down, she'll retaliate with extremely painful damage and incredibly potent healing. Moreover, the continuous reduction in the cost of Guinsoo's Rageblade in season 11 has accelerated Vayne's power spike much earlier than most other ADCs.

All of the above factors have led to Vayne becoming an overly dominant ADC at the current moment. However, somehow, Riot Games still have no intention to nerf Vayne despite season 12 being just around the corner. This decision by Riot is truly perplexing as they completely overlook this overwhelmingly dominant playstyle. Hopefully, Riot will soon recognize the issue and make the necessary adjustments to bring Vayne into balance in the upcoming season 12.
