1. Gaming Laptops on the Rise in Vietnam
The market share of gaming laptops in the Vietnamese market has surged nearly fourfold since 2018.
According to GfK data, gaming laptops accounted for 3% of total laptops sold in Vietnam in 2018. This figure has consistently risen each year. In 2019, gaming laptop sales increased to 6%, and currently, they have reached 11.5% of total laptop sales. The demand for gaming laptops among users in Vietnam is growing steadily. Experts attribute this to the increasingly accessible prices and the optimization of these laptops to meet various user needs, beyond gaming.

The prices of gaming laptops are becoming more affordable, enabling a broader range of users to access them.
However, nowadays, users can easily find numerous gaming laptop models priced from 15 million VND. This price range is comparable to office laptops. Additionally, their appearance is simpler and more sophisticated, catering to various user demographics. Several years ago, the price was a significant barrier preventing Vietnamese users from accessing gaming laptops. However, this has changed recently. A media representative responsible for the gaming laptop segment of a computer company shared that similarly to the mobile industry, the mid-range and budget segments are receiving substantial investments from laptop manufacturers, continuously introducing new products. Besides renowned gaming brands like Alienware, ROG, Predator, or Omen, Dell, Asus, Acer, and HP also consistently release new products under brands like G Series, TUF, Nitro, or Pavilion to compete in the budget segment.

The sales of laptops and accessories have surged due to the increased demand for remote work and study from users.
