(Motherland) - In his latest live stream, Rookie shared plenty of backstage stories about the professional gaming scene.
Among the LPL players, Rookie stands out as one of the most beloved by the audience. Beyond discussing League of Legends, Rookie captivates viewers with live sessions delving into life, family, and career. Notably, he's also adored for being the partner of the beautiful LPL MC - Hilda.

Recently, Rookie divulged more details about players' lives, moving many viewers. Specifically, Rookie mentioned that many players (including himself) have had to trade their health for success.
“Let me tell you, lately I've been hitting the gym more often, got some solid biceps going on here. I can really feel the difference between going to bed early and staying up late. Players have to stay up late to practice, the less they sleep, the more successful they are. But their health is extremely fragile, I've been through this.” - Rookie shared.

Throughout the history of LoL, many players have faced serious health issues leading to retirement. Uzi is a classic example, having suffered severe wrist injuries. Most recently, we've seen Nuguri also taking a break from competition due to similar issues.

Perhaps due to the short careers of esports athletes, teams often neglect investing in their health care. Hopefully, this will soon change, and teams will implement comprehensive sports medicine to preserve the health of their players.
