To root Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE500KL) with WW version 13.10.7.1, ensure adb and fastboot are installed on your PC. Follow the instructions at https://1khoplus.com/cai-dat-adb-fastboot-windows.html
Download TWRP from https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8Ehz2zxtLvLTEhmYW9ZeVl4NjQ and place it in the same folder as adb on your PC.
Enter fastboot mode on your phone by turning it off. Hold the power and volume up buttons until you enter fastboot.
Connect the cable to your PC and phone, start fastboot, and type 'fastboot boot twrp-3.0.2-0-Z00E-LL.img'. After it finishes, disconnect the cable, power off the phone. Download TWRP from https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8Ehz2zxtLvLUnh2MEZacldqSjQ, open it to unlock the bootloader.
Download and copy this file to the SD card from https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8Ehz2zxtLvLWDh5WWNwdXlRTFE.
Power off your phone, then press and hold the power button and volume down button.
When TWRP appears, choose 'Install', navigate to the file on the SD card, and swipe to flash the file.
