During document editing, there are many instances where users need to rotate one or more Word pages to represent the content fully and in a visually appealing way, especially when printing. By default, if you click on any page you want to rotate in Word and select Landscape mode, all pages in the document will be rotated horizontally, which may not serve your purpose. Therefore, today Mytour will guide you on how to rotate one page horizontally in Word in a document file to address this issue and make your document look more beautiful and professional.
How to Rotate a Page Horizontally in Word
1. Create a separate section for the page to be rotated horizontally.
To rotate a page horizontally in Word, you first need to separate that page into an independent section from other pages in the document. Otherwise, when you rotate one page horizontally, all pages in the document will rotate along with it.
Step 1: First, place the cursor at the beginning of the page you want to rotate and select Page Layout > Break > Continuous.
Example: If you want to rotate the third page in Word, then place your mouse cursor at the beginning of the third Word page.
Step 2: Next, proceed to check if the section has been successfully broken. Select Insert >Header >Edit Header. If the document is divided into two sections as shown below, then you have successfully broken the section. Here, we only have section 1 and section 2 (if the document has multiple broken sections, the section numbers may differ).
So you have successfully broken the section right at the beginning of the document page you want to rotate horizontally. Now, you will do the same by breaking the section right at the beginning of the next document page immediately after the designated pages for horizontal rotation. The purpose of this is to have the pages to be rotated horizontally in one section, while other pages (those before and after) will be in another section, independent of the section for horizontal rotation.
Example: If you choose to rotate the third page in Word, place your mouse cursor at the beginning of the fourth page. Then select Page Layout >Break >Continuous to break the section.
2. Rotate a Page Horizontally in Word.
Step 1: Place the mouse cursor anywhere on the page that has been separately sectioned and select Page Layout >Orientation >Landscape to rotate the page horizontally.
Immediately, your page will be rotated horizontally, and the result will be as follows:
