1. Rotating Text within Excel Cells
To rotate text within cells, follow the methods below:
Method 1:
Step 1: Select the cell(s) you want to rotate text (you can select one or multiple cells). Right-click on the selected cell, press Format Cells.
Step 2: In the Format Cells window, open the Alignment tab.
Step 3: In the Alignment tab, under Orientation , you can adjust the text rotation by moving the cursor within the cell as shown below, or adjust the degree in the Degrees box. Once done, press OK to confirm the changes.
Method 2:
Step 1: Select the cell(s) you want to rotate text.
Step 2: On the Home tab of the toolbar, choose Orientation, then select the rotation style you prefer. There are 5 options for you including:
+ Angle Counterclockwise: Rotate counterclockwise 45 degrees
+ Angle Clockwise: Rotate clockwise 45 degrees
+ Vertical Text: Stand text upright
+ Rotate Text Up: Rotate text upwards
+ Rotate Text Down: Rotate text downwards

2. Rotating Word Art in Excel.
You can rotate Word Art in two ways as follows:
Method 1: Select the Word Art text you want to rotate, then open the Format tab on the toolbar.
Under the Format tab, in the Arrange section, choose Rotate, and you'll have four options:
+ Rotate Right 900: Rotate 90 degrees to the right
+ Rotate Left 900: Rotate 90 degrees to the left
+ Flip Vertical: Flip the text vertically
+ Flip Horizontal: Flip the text horizontally
Alternatively, you can choose More Rotation Options to customize as you wish.
In the displayed box, you can freely adjust the angle in the Rotation section to your preference.
Method 2: Select the Word Art text you want to rotate, then click on the rotate icon as shown below to rotate the text as you desire.
