On November 10 (Vietnam time), Gen.G Esports (Gen.G) unexpectedly announced parting ways with Marksman Ruler. This news surprised many fans of the team and League of Legends (LoL) viewers worldwide. Ruler, a seasoned Marksman, represents the remaining legacy of the former Samsung Galaxy. Moreover, in the 2022 season, Ruler stood out as one of the brightest stars in the reigning champion LCK Summer 2022 roster.

According to information from Gen.G's CEO and Ruler's teammates, they were not entirely surprised by this announcement. Specifically, Support Lehends mentioned that Ruler had shared with the team about the possibility of leaving after LCK Spring 2022. Gen.G's CEO, Arnold Hur, stated that he and the leadership team tried to persuade Ruler, but the Marksman maintained his intention to leave.

Furthermore, based on some information, Ruler is contemplating whether to continue competing in the LCK region or move abroad to the LPL.
