- In 2020, alongside the 2 methods of assessing high school graduation exam results and academic transcripts, Saigon International University (SIU) for the first time implemented competency assessment test scores (CAST) from HCMC National University to diversify admission methods and increase opportunities for candidates.
- The minimum application score based on CAST results is 600 points (On a 1200-point scale). Accordingly, the minimum application score for this method is 600 points for all 14 majors at SIU, including: International Economic Law, Business Administration, International Trade, E-commerce, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Tourism Management, Foreign Economics, Marketing, Hotel Management, English Language, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Computer Networks.
- Candidates participating in admissions need to prepare documents including: Admission application form (SIU template, available at: www.siu.edu.vn), photocopy of the CAST results certificate for 2020 from Ho Chi Minh City National University, notarized copy of the temporary graduation certificate, Priority certificate (if any).
- Candidates apply for admission through one of two methods: Submitting documents by mail; visiting the SIU Admissions Office directly (8C, 16, 18 Tong Huu Dinh, Thao Dien Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City).

4. Saigon International University 2019 Admission Criteria
On August 9th, 2019, the Admissions Council of Saigon International University (SIU) officially announced the admission criteria for the 2019 National High School Graduation Exam (NHSGE) for all regular undergraduate programs at the university.
Admission criteria range from 14 to 15 points
Accordingly, the admission criteria for undergraduate programs in the Business Administration cluster (including majors such as Business Administration, International Trade, Tourism Management, Foreign Economics, Marketing, Hotel Management) and the English Language major are from 14 points onwards; for the International Economic Law major and the Computer Science cluster (including majors such as Computer Science, Software Engineering) are from 15 points onwards.
The admission score is calculated based on the total score of the National High School Graduation Exam in 03 subjects in the admission combination, without any multiplier, already including regional and preferential points (if any).
Successful applicants to Saigon International University must submit the Certificate of 2019 National High School Graduation Exam results (original copy) to the university for enrollment confirmation by 5:00 PM on August 15, 2019.
