During every Lunar New Year, Saigon becomes remarkably serene and deserted. It can be said that for the natives of Saigon, this is a delicacy only experienced during the Tet holidays.
Saigon takes on a completely different vibe during every Lunar New Year.

For those born and raised in the land of Saigon, you're probably accustomed to the hustle and bustle lifestyle. This city is famously dubbed as the 'city that never sleeps'. Partly because it's a vital economic hub of the country. Partly because it's a land of promises, nurturing numerous dreams and aspirations of those who set foot here.

And so, as each Tet approaches, Saigon 'returns' these natives to their homeland. Then Saigon becomes tranquil again, especially on the first day of the Lunar New Year annually. Gone are the images of rushing vehicles crowding the streets of Truong Chinh, Cong Hoa,... or the bustling laughter in various eateries.

It can be said that for the natives of Saigon, these peaceful days are a rare delicacy, only savored during Tet. Have you, as a Saigon native, or perhaps as a visitor experiencing Tet in Saigon, ever strolled along the city streets on the first day of Tet?
