Saigon reveals detailed plan for welcoming tourists to the People's Committee headquarters
The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department has issued a notice about the national-level architectural and artistic heritage tour program at the People's Council and People's Committee headquarters on National Day, September 2, and subsequently will open regularly on the last two weekends of each month.
Specifically, the tour program at the People's Council and People's Committee headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City until the end of 2023 will be organized in 5 phases as follows:
-National Day, September 2, 2023: Friday (September 1) and Saturday (September 2).
-September: Saturday (September 30) and Sunday (October 1).
-October: Saturday (October 28) and Sunday (October 29).
-November: Saturday (November 25) and Sunday (November 26).
-December: Saturday (December 30) and Sunday (December 31).
Regarding the tour itinerary: Each group of 30 visitors will explore the headquarters for approximately 60 minutes as follows:
– On the ground floor: Visitors will be introduced to the history, development, and architectural style of the People's Council and People's Committee headquarters; the highlighted designs of the lobby area and International Reception Room No. 1.



Visitors ascend the main staircase to the first floor to explore the International Reception Rooms and a map of Saigon crafted from the French colonial era. In the main hall: Visitors explore the main hall with a balcony overlooking Nguyen Hue Street and Bach Dang Park (District 1, Saigon); visitors visit Meeting Room No. 5, then proceed through the main gate for impressions or explore the exhibition area showcasing travel souvenirs.

Key regulations for visiting the People's Council and People's Committee headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City. Residents and tourists in Saigon must adhere to the following guidelines:
– Must pre-register for entry. Be present at the tour location 15 minutes before the scheduled tour time for security procedures. When touring, please bring your ID card or passport for verification.
– Guests are not allowed to bring luggage, bags, backpacks, handbags, cameras, camcorders, weapons, toxic substances, prohibited substances, flammable/explosive materials into the tour area. The organizers do not accept personal belongings.
– Guests are not allowed to smoke; not allowed to write or draw on the monument walls. No recording, filming, or live streaming in unauthorized tour areas. No other activities are allowed besides touring.
– Dress code is formal (no shorts, no sleeveless shirts); wear shoes or sandals with a back strap.
– Follow the prescribed route for the tour; maintain order, cleanliness, and appropriate behavior. Adhere to the guidance of staff and information boards on the site. Please contact the guide or organizers for assistance with any questions or additional needs.
– Take responsibility for compensation if any damage is caused to the monument.
– Guests can use public transportation to reach the tour location; private vehicles, please park in nearby areas such as Vincom Dong Khoi shopping center, City Theater…
In cases where guests do not comply with the above instructions, the organizers are allowed to refuse entry to the tour.
