New Samsung smart TVs from 2019 onwards will have the capability to control and display compatible apps installed on PC, laptop, and smartphone.
As a result, these TV models are equipped with a new feature called Remote Access, allowing remote access to other devices through wireless connections. Specifically, on computers, this feature accesses via IP address, while on laptops and mobile devices, access is through Wi-Fi network.
Samsung 2019 TVs Allow Remote Computer Access
It's very simple, just connect a mouse and keyboard to your smart TV and you can access your computer from your living room even when you're in the living room. Additionally, if you wish, you can also experience playing mobile games on a larger screen.
Finally, the feature provides users with access to cloud-based office services via a web browser to open files and work directly on the TV easily, no different from remotely controlling a computer using software available on Windows.
Hyogun Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said:
Samsung Ensures Enhanced User Experience with Remote Access
Great news for users as Remote Access is deployed globally, across all markets. However, not all applications and programs are compatible with this feature, so don't expect too much.
There are currently many software applications on Windows that support remote connection and control of computers, such as TeamViewer for example. TeamViewer software has all the features you need to access, install, and operate on connected computers.
