Today, the Galaxy A55 was discovered on the Geekbench performance measurement website with some key technical specifications.
Galaxy A55 is confirmed to utilize the Exynos 1480 chip with AMD GPU.The most interesting feature on Samsung Galaxy A55 is the new Exynos chipset. Exynos 1480 will be Samsung's first mid-range chip equipped with AMD GPU, and it is now confirmed by the Geekbench performance measurement website to provide power for the upcoming successor model Galaxy A54.
Exynos 1480 is equipped with Xclipse 530 GPU based on AMD RDNA2 graphics architecture similar to Exynos 2200. It won't be as advanced as the AMD GPU based on RDNA3 in Exynos 2400 for this SoC lineup will bring notable graphics performance improvements over Exynos 1380.
Galaxy A54In terms of CPU performance, the Exynos 1480 benchmark scores don't quite impress and suggest only a modest increase over the Exynos 1380. Samsung Galaxy A55's Geekbench listing also confirms an 8GB RAM variant. We might also anticipate the phone to launch with 4GB and 6GB RAM options. On the software front, the device will run on the Android operating system with the OneUI 6.1 user interface at launch.
