Today, information from Gizmochina reveals
Galaxy Fit 3spotted on the Indian BIS certification agency. This is an indication that the launch of this smart wristband is not far off.
Galaxy Fit 3 achieves BIS certification milestoneThe intelligent wristband Galaxy Fit 3, with model number 'SM-R390,' has been uncovered on the Indian Standards Bureau. Although the certification doesn't provide any technical details, it's a signal that this smartband is set to launch soon.
According to previous leaks, Galaxy Fit 3 appears much larger than Galaxy Fit 2. It resembles more of a smartwatch but may not run Wear OS like the Galaxy Watch. This smartband seems to feature a rectangular OLED screen with a relatively thin bezel, potentially competing with products like Fitbit Charge 6 and Band 8. It has a single button on the right side but lacks a speaker, so it won't be able to receive calls or support smart virtual assistants.
A series of images also suggests that Galaxy Fit 3 will come in at least two color options, pink and gold. It includes a heart rate sensor on the back and two pogo-pin connectors for charging. Samsung's new generation smartband has a silicone strap resembling a watch for added comfort, but it seems non-replaceable. This device may support GPS, a feature missed in Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit 2. Galaxy Fit 3 could also support music playback via Bluetooth, but we can only be certain after receiving official announcements.
