On October 24th, during the LED Experience 2018 event, Samsung officially unveiled The Wall and IF Series LED TVs designed specifically for home use.

The Wall model boasts 4K resolution, a contrast ratio of 20,000:1, and HDR10+ support.
Impressive visuals from LED The Wall and IF Series stem from Micro LED technology.
The Wall TV display delivers an impressive visual experience surpassing any previous LED screens in the market. Meanwhile, the IF Series boasts various size options and resolutions, ranging from Full HD (109 inches) to Ultra HD 4K (219 inches), accompanied by Samsung's exclusive technology for sharp images and enhanced performance, providing a truly immersive viewing experience for users at home.

To achieve remarkable images from the LED The Wall and IF Series, Samsung has developed dedicated displays using MicroLED technology. These displays offer equivalent quality and operate similarly to quantum dot OLED screens but use inorganic diodes instead of organic ones.

Each tiny MicroLED, sized like a pixel, emits its own light for the display. Thanks to this, MicroLED pixels not only shine brighter than OLED but also do not degrade over time, avoiding burn-in issues.

However, this technology is still very new and has only been limitedly applied to some expensive products, such as Sony's colossal Cledis display or Samsung's 'The Wall' display, resembling a technological marvel.

Fulfilling the desire for home entertainment with expansive screen sizes
At the LED Experience 2018 event in Germany, Ms. Hyesung Ha, Vice President of Samsung, stated that users always seek novelty for their home entertainment spaces. Samsung is thus transforming home entertainment with high-quality and larger LED screen product lines. The new technology is expected to gradually reshape the landscape of the specialized screen market, aiming to be commercialized.

Therefore, the company is currently shifting the paradigm of home entertainment with product lines featuring high-quality, larger LED screens. The new technology is anticipated to gradually revolutionize the overall landscape of the specialized screen market, with hopes of commercialization.
