Just a day after its global announcement, Samsung has officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus in Vietnam at an event dubbed 'A Christmas to Remember'. The A8 duo, A8 Plus 2018, comes with a borderless display, water and dust resistance, and dual cameras tailored for stunning portrait selfies.
The borderless display following the trend of 18.5:9 aspect ratio with Full HD+ resolution delivers excellent viewing experience

Galaxy A8 Plus
The main difference between this year's Galaxy A8 duo lies in the display. Both the A8 and A8 Plus feature borderless screens similar to those on the Galaxy S8 or Note 8 with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, curved glass, supporting Gear VR, and Full HD+ resolution. The A8 has a 5.6-inch screen while the A8+ boasts a 6-inch display. The physical Home button on the front has been removed like other borderless screen smartphones to increase the screen display area.

Both devices support Samsung Pay (with MST), IP68 water resistance, and fast charging via USB-C. The battery capacities are 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh for the Galaxy A8 and A8+ respectively.
The dual front cameras integrate the Live Focus feature for portrait selfies with background blur.
Galaxy A8 and A8+ are the first mobile phones in the Galaxy A 2018 series equipped with a dual camera system by Samsung, combining a 16 MP and 8 MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. The integrated Live Focus feature on the front camera allows users to customize the level of background blur in selfies according to their preferences.

The rear camera boasts a 16MP resolution, f/1.7 aperture, inheriting the ability to capture good photos in low-light conditions similar to premium smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy A52s 128GB. The cameras on the A8 and A8+ also feature fun stickers integrated into photos as seen on the S8 or Note 8.

They feature a fingerprint sensor, face recognition, and support for dual SIM. The only difference between the A8 and A8+ is that the A8 has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 3,000mAh battery, while the A8+ has 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and a 3,500mAh battery.
