However, the Exynos 2200 falls below average performance. Now, Samsung is planning to bring AMD GPUs to the rest of its Exynos lineup.
Samsung is set to integrate AMD GPU for mid-range Exynos chips soon.According to leaker Revegnus (@Tech_Reve), Samsung will equip its future mid-range chips, namely Exynos 1430 and Exynos 1480, with AMD's mRDNA-based GPU. Both processors are expected to be announced early next year and may debut inside the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A15 respectively. However, leaked sources advise users not to set 'overly high expectations' for the GPUs inside these mid-range Exynos chipsets.
Clearly, Samsung is focusing more on improving ISP on mid-range Exynos chips in the future rather than bringing powerful GPUs. Therefore, the gaming performance of Exynos 1430 and Exynos 1480 may not be impressive. As Samsung's collaboration with AMD is aimed at long-term goals, there is always an expectation that someday the entire Exynos lineup will use AMD-based GPUs. Let's wait and see!
