According to this source, Samsung's new object tracking accessory is slated for introduction in the third quarter of 2023. While there's no specific information on enhancements for the second-generation Galaxy SmartTag, it's reasonable to expect improvements in wireless range, beep volume, and enhanced security features to deter unauthorized tracking.
The forthcoming Galaxy SmartTag may debut alongside Samsung's next-gen wearable devices, including the Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Watch6. At the same event, the South Korean company might unveil new screen models. Currently, no other company has achieved success comparable to Samsung's in terms of sales in the object tracking accessory segment.
