Sharing with Reuters, Samsung's CEO in the Indian market - Mr. Ranjivjit Singh, revealed that Samsung has sold 5 million Galaxy A smartphones, achieving revenue of over $1 billion in the world's second most populous market. Notably, this record revenue was established just after 70 days, since the beginning of March 2019.
Previously, he also mentioned that Samsung sold 2 million Galaxy A smartphones in India after 40 days. Thus, Samsung's sales growth momentum is very stable.
Ranjivjit Singh also hopes that Samsung's new Galaxy A series will generate revenue of around $4 billion this year. At this rate, the company is very likely to achieve that goal.
The Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50 are the first smartphones in the new Galaxy A series to be launched in the Indian market in March. Shortly thereafter, Samsung also launched the Galaxy A20 and Galaxy A70 in this country.
