It's quite surprising that Samsung has decided to bring both the Galaxy A22 4G and A22 5G to the Vietnamese market. Looking at this duo is impressive as the company has pioneered bringing optical image stabilization (OIS) technology to the 5-6 million range.
Apart from the premium features, what noteworthy aspects does the Galaxy A22 Series possess? Let's delve into this article to find out.
A cluster of 4 cameras combined with premium OIS stabilization

Samsung has previously been bold in bringing OIS stabilization to mid-range models like the Galaxy A52 or A72. Now, the tech community is even more surprised as the company has brought this feature down to below 6 million price range with the Galaxy A22 4G.
In the 5-6 million price range, it's difficult to find a smartphone that captures good enough photos with optical image stabilization support. Samsung emphasizes this feature greatly, and it's also the standout point when compared to other competitors.
With this advanced technology, you can unleash your creativity, capturing smooth and stable photos, minimizing blur caused by shaking. You'll find them truly necessary when shooting on the move or in low-light conditions such as evenings.

Regarding specific specifications, the Galaxy A22 4G will feature a quad-camera setup on the back, including a 48 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view, a 2 MP depth sensor, and finally a 2 MP macro lens.
On the front, there's a 13 MP selfie sensor supporting various automatic filters available on the device, including inserting Live Emotion Stickers into frames, Smart Beauty for playful Gen Z users on social media platforms.
90Hz display, powerful configuration for smooth handling of all tasks

Not only boasting camera advantages, the Galaxy A22 4G and A22 5G duo are also equipped with screens with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, providing smoother display capabilities and better touch experiences for users.
The performance prowess of this duo will come from the Helio G80 and Dimensity 700 processors for the 5G variant. The Helio G80, known for its efficient performance and battery-saving capabilities, will optimize for those in need of long-lasting battery life.

On the other hand, the A22 5G sibling boasts even more powerful performance, not to mention the advanced 5G connectivity technology. However, the 5G version will also be considerably trimmed down, especially in the camera department. I'll have a separate article to discuss this.
Samsung remains generous to users in terms of RAM and internal storage capacity. The Galaxy A22 will feature up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM (with additional expandable support), coupled with a 5,000 mAh battery. Rest assured, the device will excel in multitasking, work, and study.
Not to mention, gaming on this duo will also be quite smooth. I've experienced gaming on both aforementioned processors, still able to play popular titles at medium settings quite well.
5G technology becoming more comfortable in the mid-range price segment

Currently, there's no information available regarding the price of the Galaxy A22 5G, but Samsung has confirmed that it will bring this version soonest. Particularly, the company has revealed that this will be the best 5G smartphone in its price range upon release.
However, perhaps due to allocating quite a lot of resources for 5G, as mentioned earlier, the A22 5G will have some trimming in the camera department with only 3 rear cameras, including a 48 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, there's an 8 MP selfie camera.
Not to mention, this version will not support OIS stabilization and will have some differences in the display as it uses a Full HD+ resolution LCD screen instead of the high-brightness Super AMOLED of the Galaxy A22 4G.
In Summary
With the Galaxy A22 4G and A22 5G duo, Samsung has demonstrated its 'playing hard' attitude by bringing many sophisticated technologies to a comfortable price range, reaching more users.
Although the specifications of these two versions may seem to involve some trade-offs at first glance, gaining one thing might mean losing another. However, upon closer consideration, Samsung may have optimized them separately for two different user groups.

The advantage of the Galaxy A22 5G lies in its name itself, featuring the latest 5G technology and also boasting stronger processing power. This will be a suitable choice for those who enjoy gaming or want to experience the fast-paced 5G speeds.
As for the Galaxy A22 4G, you'll have a more powerful, versatile camera, with good quality thanks to OIS stabilization. Additionally, you'll have a high-quality AMOLED display, offering clear visibility even outdoors.

That's why I assess the 4G version might be more suitable for the majority of users, not to mention it comes at an accessible price point, starting from 5-6 million VND.
Especially, users purchasing the Galaxy A22 4G at Mytour from June 24, 2021, to July 31, 2021, will receive benefits of up to 580,000 VND on the Galaxy Gift app.
