The screen of Samsung The Sero not only lies horizontally like traditional TVs but also can rotate vertically thanks to its special stand.
1. Samsung introduces TV with vertical-horizontal rotating display
Following their frame-like TV line, the South Korean manufacturer surprises again with a new TV lineup featuring an unconventional design, The Sero. Unlike traditional models, The Sero's screen is not fixed in a horizontal position but can switch to a vertical state thanks to its rotating axis.

According to Samsung's explanation, the vertical screen aims to provide a similar display frame to smartphones, catering to younger users who can use the TV for social media browsing, internet surfing, or streaming content from their phones to the big screen. Additionally, with the vertical frame, The Sero's screen also displays two contents or channels simultaneously on a single screen better. This non-traditional design targets new, tech-savvy young users.
Samsung The Sero features a large and tall stand, integrating a 4.1 40 Watt speaker system that can also function as a standalone speaker, usable even when the screen is off.

One drawback of Samsung The Sero is its sole 43-inch screen size and its relatively high price compared to conventional TVs of the same size. The product will debut in South Korea starting from May with a price tag of $1,600.
