Scotland voted as the 'most beautiful country in the world'

Reflecting on Scotland being voted as the 'most beautiful country in the world', Rough Guides wrote: 'Who can deny that the wild beaches, deep valleys, and rugged castles (in Scotland) are the most magnificent and beautiful landscapes in the world?'
Malcolm Roughead, Chief Executive of VisitScotland, believes this title will attract even more tourists to Scotland.
Mr. Roughead said: 'We are delighted that Scotland has received this notable award from Rough Guide readers, but of course, it comes as no surprise to anyone who has visited our wonderful country'.

From breathtaking landscapes to historical landmarks and bustling urban centers, Scotland captivates everyone.
Our latest promotional campaign, Spirit of Scotland, builds upon feedback from travelers who feel particularly enchanted here—whether it's the wilderness of Glen Coe on a stormy day or joining in a Burns Night celebration. There's something distinctly different about Scotland that they can't experience anywhere else in the world.
Of course, with Scotland's stunning beauty, we have a significant responsibility to both visitors and residents to cherish Scotland's natural assets and protect them for the long term.
