Ranking Esports is a name echoing throughout VCS circles.
As mentioned, VCS BTC and Riot in Vietnam have commenced registration for the VCS Promotion Tournament in preparation for the 2024 season. Several teams have submitted applications on the specialized platform Lol.fandom, some unfamiliar to VCS fans while others comprise veterans of Vietnam's largest LMHT tournament. Nonetheless, certain narratives demand attention, once again thrusting SBTC Esports into the spotlight.

Recently, SE's official fanpage underwent a change in ownership and rebranded as Ranking Esports—a name unfamiliar to VCS audiences. Despite this, numerous announcements from the page hinted at an imminent lineup reveal with images taken during practice sessions. Furthermore, RE appeared in lists of teams participating in the upcoming VCS Promotion Tournament. All signs point to RE potentially being a newcomer to VCS in the 2024 season, as of November 7.

However, RE surprised followers on their fanpage by announcing their withdrawal from the upcoming Promotion Tournament, with no future engagements scheduled. Thus, despite extensive promotional efforts and publicity since taking over VCS's fanpage, RE seems to have vanished from the Vietnamese LMHT scene. Previously, during the Promotion Tournament, RE boasted players like Phi1 and Artifact, familiar names to VCS fans. Yet, Artifact has since moved to Rainbow Warriors, a team featuring well-known players like Noway, EasyLove, and 2T, touted as strong contenders for promotion.

RE's decision undoubtedly disappointed many VCS fans. Alongside sarcastic remarks and taunts, some express outright disappointment, asserting that the team never demonstrated seriousness from the start. They even failed to establish their own media system, opting to purchase a fanpage from SE instead. Now, with little to show for it, dissolution seems imminent. Some fans immediately draw parallels with recent negative incidents involving SE players.

Regardless of the reason, RE remains silent following their announcement. Fans may understand that the team might have to wait until at least the Promotion Tournament for the Summer Season or some sudden development before making an appearance in the VCS future.
