Guide on Embedding Watermark into Word Document
CREATE WATERMARK IN WORD 2003
Step 1: Open the Word document you want to insert a Watermark into. On the menu, select Format > Background > Printed Watermark.
Step 2: The Printed Watermark dialog box appears: Check Picture watermark and click Select Picture to choose an image from your computer to insert as a Watermark.
Step 3: The Insert Picture dialog box appears: Navigate to the file path, select the image, and press Insert to embed it.
Step 4: The selected image path appears as shown below, click OK to finish.

Method 1: Choose from available templates
Step 1: Select Page Layout on the menu and click on the Watermark tab: Choose a watermark style from the available templates. Alternatively, if you want to create a custom watermark in Word, you can click the Custom Watermark option right on this toolbar in method 2.

Method 2: Create a custom watermark.
Step 1: Select Page Layout > Watermark > choose Custom Watermark to create a custom watermark.
Step 2: In the Printed Watermark box, you have the following options:
- No Watermark: Do not watermark the document in Word.
- Picture Watermark: Copyright stamping using an image.
Where Scale represents the size of the image, the Washout option allows for a clearer display of the watermarked image in Word. Uncheck Washout if you want a sharp image.
- Text Watermark: Copyright stamping using text.
+ Language: Language for watermarking.
+ Text: Enter the text to be watermarked.
+ Font: Format the font style.
+ Size: Text size used for watermarking in Word.
+ Color: Color of the copyright stamp.
+ Layout: The orientation of the watermark in Word includes Diagonal (tilted) and Horizontal (flat).
To insert an image as a watermark, check Picture Watermark and click Select Picture to choose an image from your computer to insert as a Watermark.
Step 3: The Insert Picture dialog box appears: Navigate to the file path, select the image, and press Insert to embed it.
Step 4: The selected image path appears as shown below, click Apply > OK to finish.

Sealing copyrights for Word 2016
The process of sealing copyrights in Word 2016 differs slightly from other versions. You can refer to the guide on creating copyrights in Word 2016 below:
Step 1: Select the Design tab on the Word 2016 toolbar
Step 2: Click the Watermark icon on the Design toolbar.
Step 3: Similar to sealing copyrights in Word 2003, 2007, 2010, and 2013, you can choose to copyright a text file in Word using pre-existing options or create a custom watermark in Word for yourself.
Step 4: The Printed Watermark command for creating copyrights in Word remains the same as in Word 2003, 2007, 2010, and 2013.
