Security is currently a top priority, preventing account theft. To safeguard your Facebook account from theft, you should secure it with your phone number.
A guide instructing you on securing Facebook with your phone number has been verified within your account.
Verify Your Phone Number on Facebook
Step 1: Log into your Facebook account, then select the arrow next to the privacy shortcut and choose Settings.
Step 2: In the Settings section, on the left menu, select Mobile and click Add Phone.
Step 3: A dialog box Activate text messaging on Facebook will appear, select add your phone number here.
Step 4: Next, confirm your phone number, in the Country code (area code) choose Vietnam (+84), then enter your phone number in the Phone Number field and click Continue.
Step 5: Wait for the confirmation code to be sent to your phone number, enter the received confirmation code into Enter Your Confirmation Code and click Accept.
Note: If you don't receive the confirmation code, click Resend Code.
Afterward, a dialog box will prompt you to enter your password, enter your password and click Submit.
Step 6: Phone number confirmation notification, you can choose in the Share your phone number with section.
If you don't want to make your phone number public to friends or everyone, you can choose Only Me. Then Save Settings.
Setting up Facebook security with your phone number
Step 1: In the Settings section, select Security.
Step 2: In Login Approval, select Edit to add security with your phone number.
Step 3: Next, check the box in front of Require a security code to access my account from an unknown browser.
Step 4: What is the login approval dialog? Click Get Started.
Step 5: Press Continue.
Step 6: Facebook sends a confirmation code to your phone number. Enter the confirmation code into the Session Code Provider section and click Continue.
Step 7: Confirm your password and click Send.
Step 8: Check the box in front of No, require a code immediately to enable instant phone verification. Then select Close.
To prevent issues related to security phone numbers, you should receive backup codes. In security settings, select Get Code under Login Approval.
From now on, whenever you log into Facebook, you'll need to enter the confirmation code sent to your security phone number. Your Facebook account will be absolutely secure, even if others know your password. Wishing you success!
