Stay Healthy First, Travel Can Wait!
In compliance with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc's directive on COVID-19 prevention: Starting from 01/04/2020, Vietnam has implemented a 15-day nationwide social distancing, requiring all citizens to stay at home and only go out when absolutely necessary (such as buying groceries, medicines, emergency cases, working at factories, essential businesses not closed). Social distancing is a necessary action at this time, as the COVID-19 virus situation becomes increasingly complex.
#teamKlook knows what's up! The pandemic may temporarily halt the wanderlust of travel enthusiasts, but it can't extinguish the flames of passion. Klook believes that even with a call to 'stay home and love the country,' #teamKlook still holds hope for a peaceful life and future adventures far and wide.
To add more positive energy to the travel-loving community, Klook has created a series of check-in photos from iconic landmarks worldwide. Without going far, you can still explore the globe with Klook. See how many locations you recognize in the photos below.
Prioritize health now; travel can wait. Keep the #yourstoexplorelater spirit high, #teamKlook!
1. Australia - The Land Down Under

Klook Australia is based in the bustling city of Sydney - a shared home to many landmarks like the iconic Sydney Opera House and the charming (and quirky) ecosystem. Locals fondly recall laid-back afternoons at Bondi Beach, enjoying toast with a smear of creamy avocado.

Fun fact: Did you know that Australians refer to a group of wombats as a 'wisdom' - meaning wise?
2. Hong Kong

The Ding Ding tram has been a reigning champion on the streets of Hong Kong for over 110 years. Locals endearingly call this tramline Ding Ding for its distinctive sound. Biting into a delicious egg custard bun while watching the Ding Ding tram enter and exit the station is an experience unique to this city. If you get the chance, take a leisurely stroll around Sai Wan Harbor to soak in the bustling atmosphere and capture iconic TVB-worthy scenery.

The message from Klook Hong Kong to you: 'Always anticipate the next journey! Stay healthy!'
3. Indonesia

Positive vibes from Klook Indonesia emanate from the iconic Bundaran HI, also known as the Selamat Datang Monument, a symbol of the locals' hospitality. Built in 1962 at the 'heart' of Jakarta, Bundaran HI - the landmark of the memorable Asian Games that year - has become a familiar gathering spot for Indonesia's youth.

A fascinating fact is that Bundaran HI has also been a peaceful protest site over the years. The message from Klook Indonesia is: 'Every storm will pass! Keep the hope alive!'
4. Japan

No Hanami joy for this year's cherry blossom season. To spare you the regret, Klook Japan captured the vibrant early-season cherry blossoms. Last year, Japan's cherry blossom festival attracted millions of visitors from March to early May, exploring famous sights.

Aside from cherry blossoms, the refined cuisine of the Land of the Rising Sun is also a traveler's delight. Fill your hungry belly with sushi and sake on another occasion!
5. Malaysia

'Binge-watching' Netflix and savoring Super Ring - the famous cheese snack - is how Klook Malaysia boosts energy during self-isolation at home. Remember not to touch your laptop or anything important when your fingers are covered in cheese powder. You can buy Super Ring at convenience stores or any reasonably priced grocery store.

Malaysia has been practicing social distancing since early March. Therefore, Klook Malaysia can only 'travel' at home and live vicariously by catching up with social media trends, like #stayathome. Hopefully, the pandemic will pass soon so Malaysia's wanderlust can extend the dream of freedom to explore.
6. Philippines

The Philippines not only boasts stunning coastlines, lively festivals, and fresh seafood but also vibrant tropical mangoes that every traveler must try. Filipinos enjoy mangoes in various forms: fresh, frozen, as smoothies, juice, and even dried. It's a favorite snack for 'titas' (aunts) in barangays (suburbs) and international tourists alike.

The Manila railway system is currently on pause. Klook Philippines is also working from home with a 'companion' - a green plastic water dipper - an unofficial 'national icon,' according to locals. Legend has it that this water dipper will make the fight against COVID-19 easier and faster. #teamKlook, do you believe in this?
7. Singapore

Known as the Garden City, Singapore is renowned for being one of the cleanest cities on the planet. You might not be impressed by natural greenery amidst a modern urban landscape, but you'll surely be 'wowed' by the authentic Singaporean cuisine. Before heading to the vibrant Sentosa Island, stop by the Garden City for affordable Michelin-starred dining. With a warm and sunny climate all year round, any season is a good time to explore. See you after the pandemic, Merlion!
8. South Korea

A touch of Hallyu spice will add color to your days of social distancing. No one taxes dreams, so make your quarantine days rich with activities in the land of Kimchi - from following your idols, indulging in BBQ feasts, to diving into the world of cosmetics. That's what Klook South Korea in Seoul is doing every day.
After the success of the movie Train to Busan in 2016, Busan became the next hot spot for travel enthusiasts. However, the lively Seoul and the dreamy Jeju Island still hold a special place in the hearts of Korean patriots.
9. Spain

Klook Spain is one of the newest members of the Klook 'family'! Jamón or Spanish-style cured ham is a culinary highlight you shouldn't miss when visiting this mysterious country. The flavor of Jamón is enhanced when paired with cheese and olives.
With a rich cultural beauty and diverse cuisine, travelers can find every memorable experience in Spain, from Gaudi's masterpieces to the sunny San Sebastian coastline. Don't forget to immerse yourself in the rhythmic Flamenco dance, explore the Game of Thrones filming locations, and discover many other famous landmarks.
10. Taiwan

Klook Taiwan's wishes are 'captured' in front of Taipei 101, the iconic skyscraper and the place where you need to make a reservation at Starbucks before arriving.
Gathering many famous night markets like Shihlin, Raohe, and Ningxia, it's no surprise that Taiwan is known as the 'world's night market capital.' Beyond the night markets, the nostalgic streets of Jiufen and cozy cafes in Taipei are irresistible charms. Visiting Taiwan once is never enough, right #teamKlook?
11. Thailand

Klook Thailand in Bangkok is the branch where many joke enthusiasts gather - perfectly fitting the nickname 'land of smiles' for this city. There's too much to eat in Bangkok, such as pad thai, tomyum, seafood, and green curry. After indulging, take a stroll around major shopping areas like Chatuchak Market and Platinum Mall to burn off those extra calories!

Every day becomes more perfect when you spend the evening at Talad Rod Fai - where travelers can enjoy good wine, live music, savor street food, and unique delicacies of the Golden Temple land. You can also head to the King Power Mahanakhon building and admire the city at night from an observation deck nearly 320 meters high.
12. United Kingdom

With biscuits, hot tea, and marmite sauce, Klook London is sending positive energy to you from their home.
Here, everyone craves a leisurely stroll on the Thames and then casually shopping at Borough Market. If you haven't tried a £10 steak at Flatiron or lobster dish at Burger & Lobster, you haven't really been to London!
13. Vietnam

The lingering aroma of coffee in the fresh morning air will be something Klook Vietnam deeply misses in the next few weeks. As a rapidly developing country, Vietnam boasts a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. From ancient French colonial architecture to the stunning terraced fields in Sapa, in Vietnam, every place can become a wonder.

Adventurous travelers can add conquering the Fansipan summit to their post-COVID-19 wishlist. Also known as the Roof of Indochina, it reaches an impressive height of 3,143 meters, the highest in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
