Sennheiser has actively ventured into the true wireless market, realizing its cost-effective wireless 'CX' earphones and introducing CX True Wireless. Despite minimizing features to the essentials, it retains Sennheiser's neutral warmth. The audio features make it easy for consumers to get started. Recently, an upgraded version of CX Plus True Wireless has been released. Whether it's functional integrity or audio quality performance, it's almost simplistic. The flagship Momentum True Wireless 2 (MTW 2) is closer to everyone, providing consumers with an easier choice for those wanting a seamless MTW 2 experience.
Lightweight, Compact, and Ergonomic
Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless (hereafter referred to as CX Plus) is designed to maintain a small, lightweight square structure. Weighing only 6 grams on one side, it feels sturdy when worn. Additionally, the official manufacturing plant includes 4 ear tip sets, allowing you to find the most suitable size and enhance air tightness for the earphones. Furthermore, the earphones come in two colors, black and white. The small openings of the MEMS microphones for the radio are visible around the body, providing clear call quality and excellent ANC radio function. It is equipped with a bright touch control panel with the brand logo printed on it, no less than the flagship model in terms of design!
The battery case of CX Plus is also designed simpler and lighter than MTW 2. When fully charged, CX Plus can play for 8 hours, longer than MTW 2 by an hour, and the battery case can provide two additional charges (16 hours). Sound Quality of Sennheiser CX Plus
CX Plus is fundamentally similar to MTW 2. The sound leans towards a fairly neutral and warm style, emphasizing the performance of the midrange and low frequencies. The low frequencies slightly converge compared to MTW 2, and the high frequencies are quite gentle, making the machine's frequency range extremely smooth and tolerable to the ears. The soundstage of this system is not overly large, more direct, making classical music in small venues hear the characteristics of the full-bodied string music, without getting tired over listening time.
Listening to pop music, the vocals are full and accurately positioned, with detailed lip, tooth, and throat details being very gentle. You can feel very comfortable with the singer's vocal details.
