The Seoul Hot Summer Sale starts from 1/8 and runs until 31/8, offering special shopping privileges for international tourists.
When shopping in Asian cities, foreign tourists often face higher taxes compared to locals. However, Seoul, South Korea, presents a contrary case.
To stimulate tourism growth and the shopping needs of international visitors, the capital of South Korea continues to implement discount policies and special offers. A prime example is the Seoul Hot Summer Sale program launching this August. It is seen as a rare opportunity for tourists to 'stock up'.

Over 1,300 stores across Seoul are participating in this event, including tax-free stores and shopping centers such as Lotte, Hyundai, Galleria, and Shinsegae. In addition to common goods, visitors to Seoul during this period also receive other benefits, such as a 30% discount on bookings at Marriott hotel system, a 50% discount on train tickets, and a 60% reduction in foreign exchange fees at banks.
To avail these discounts, tourists need to obtain a 'discount card' from the website, request it at the information desk (number 44) at Incheon International Airport, or download the mobile version and present it when shopping at stores within the program's framework.

Furthermore, as the Seoul Hot Summer Sale is an event exclusively for international guests, travelers must present their passport to prove that they are not local residents.
In particular, for tourists who spend over 100,000 won (~ $89), there is an opportunity to participate in the lucky draw for round-trip air tickets to Seoul by Korean Air.
