During a match at the LPL Summer 2022, a serious glitch related to the Rift Herald has occurred.
In League of Legends, and other related game modes, critical glitches sometimes arise, potentially affecting match outcomes. These glitches can even manifest during professional matches, leaving both spectators and players extremely frustrated. Recently, another severe glitch occurred at the LPL Summer 2022, during the clash between LNG Esports and LGD Gaming. And this glitch is linked to a highly important factor in League of Legends (LoL), specifically the Rift Herald.

For those who regularly follow LoL, the significance of the Rift Herald in a match is undeniable. It's one of the most potent buffs in the early stages of a match, often serving as a crucial factor in securing overall victory. Skirmishes over the Rift Herald area are typically the first major engagements of a match, eagerly awaited by spectators.

However, in the match between LNG and LGD on the evening of 02/07 (Vietnam time), a severe glitch occurred regarding this buff. Specifically, LNG obtained the Rift Herald buff and utilized it in the Bottom Lane area. However, the Rift Herald failed to attack the turret as expected, behaving merely like a giant minion.
As soon as this glitch emerged, the match was promptly paused for rectification. However, after a considerable period, even Riot seemed at a loss. Consequently, LNG was forced to reluctantly continue the match, 'accepting' their opponents with a Rift Herald buff.
This was a major issue that significantly impacted LNG's ability to overpower their opponents. Fortunately, LNG managed to secure a victory thereafter. However, LGD isn't considered a particularly strong opponent compared to LNG. Many viewers raised concerns about how Riot would address this issue if it occurred during matches involving powerhouse teams like Royal Never Give Up, Victory Five, or Top Esports.

To date, Riot has not issued any additional statements regarding the incident that occurred during the LNG vs. LGD match. Both viewers and teams will be anxious if this issue arises in matches involving their respective teams.
