Method 1: Set an Image File as Wallpaper
With this method, you can apply it to all versions of Windows. Right-click on the image you want to use as your Desktop wallpaper and select the option as shown below:

Method 2: Automatically Change Desktop Wallpaper
In Windows 7/8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems, there is a feature to automatically change the wallpaper with available photo effects. This means your Desktop on Windows 7 not only stays fixed with a specific wallpaper but will also automatically change to many other wallpapers. Step 2:
At the Personalize window, select Desktop Background.
Step 3:
Here, simply click on Browser to choose the folder containing the images you want to set as wallpaper. The selected images will be displayed directly on Desktop Background.
