Guide to Creating Shortcuts in AutoCAD
This can be effortlessly accomplished through the Customize User Interface (CUI) feature in AutoCAD. Follow the steps below:
Step 2: In the list of commands, input the command you want to assign a shortcut to, for example, type Hatch. Locate it in the menu below and left-click to view the button image and its attributes. As seen in the attribute table on the left, no shortcut is currently assigned to this command.
Step 3: Within the Customization in All Files panel, expand the last item in the list, which is Partial Customization Files. Then, expand this list in the following order: Custom > Keyboard Shortcuts > Shortcut Keys.
Step 4: Click and drag the desired command from the Command List menu into the Shortcut Keys folder below. You will see your command displayed in the attribute menu on the bottom right.
Step 5: As you can see, there's an Access command, and below it, there's a Key(s) box. Click on it, and then click on the three dots that will appear on the right. Now you can designate a shortcut for this command. Finally, click the mouse on Apply > OK.
Here are the steps to set shortcuts in AutoCAD.
