The Best Solution for Setting Up Automatic Backup for Entire Android Data
Ensure that you have activated the Backup & Reset option in the Settings section. Activating the Backup & Reset option will automatically back up the entire Android device, including Wi-Fi, browser passwords, etc. Note that you must use Android version 5.0 or higher to enable this option.
Android Data Backup: Images and Videos

Dropbox
Dropbox is one of the best backup apps to replace regular photo backups. The app allows you to automatically upload photos to the cloud service. However, the amount of videos and photos you can store on Dropbox will depend on file size and available space in your Dropbox account.
- Open Dropbox and access Settings.
- Activate Turn on Camera Upload option.
Every time you capture a new photo or add a new video, those images and videos will be regularly uploaded to Dropbox. However, you only get 2 GB of free storage. If you want to add 1 TB of storage, you will need to pay 9.9 USD per month to use Dropbox Pro version.
Amazon Photos
Similar to Dropbox, Amazon Photos also allows you to automatically upload unlimited photos and videos to Amazon Cloud Drive through your mobile phone.
Additionally, there are other third-party photo backup apps you can choose and use such as Photobucket Mobile to upload photos with just a few clicks. There are also other apps like Flickr Companion and Picasa Tool, however, these tools do not automatically upload photos, and you will have to manually upload photos and videos.
Backup Files
Unlike images and videos, files cannot be automatically backed up, so you will have to manually back up these files. For important files, you can back them up to Google Drive.
- Open Google Drive.
- Click the + button at the bottom corner of the screen.
- Click Upload and select the files you want to upload to Drive.
- Once the files are uploaded to Drive, you can access them using your Google account.
You can also save these files to Dropbox:
- Open Dropbox, then click the + button at the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Click Upload files and select the files you want to back up.
- From now on, you can access the files on your Dropbox account.
Backup SMS Messages
