Setting up Gmail on Outlook 2013 using IMAP
Step 1: Begin by logging into Gmail on your browser, then click on the Settings icon. Choose Settings, then select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Next, select Enable POP for all mail from now on.
Step 2: Access the Link
And choose to enable Access for less secure apps
Step 3: Open Outlook 2013. Select File, then choose Add Account
Step 4: In the Add new account window, select Manual setup or additional server types and click next
Step 5: Next, select POP or IMAP and click next
Step 6: Proceed to configure the necessary information
Your Name: Enter the name you want to assign to the account
Email Address: Your Gmail account
Account type: POP3
Incoming mail server: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server(SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
User Name: Your Gmail account
Password: Your Gmail login password
In the configuration window, select the More Settings section.
Continue to select More Settings and check the box for My outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication
Switch to the Advanced tab and enter the parameters as below
Press OK to save the settings.
Step 7: Click Test Account Settings to test the connection with the server. If the system successfully sends the email, then the setup is complete.
