By default, Nokia Winphone devices come with two types of maps: Here Maps and Here Drive. Here Maps are standard online maps, while Here Drive enables voice-guided navigation and allows offline navigation (without Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity).
To install Here Drive maps, follow these steps
Step 1: First, connect to Wi-Fi or 3G on your device. Then select Here Drive from the app menu.
Step 2: When you launch Here Drive for the first time, it will introduce itself and ask you to set up an account. You can skip this step.
Step 3: Download and install the pre-recorded voice guidance for navigation.
Step 4: After the download is complete, you will be redirected to the map download page. Choose Download maps now.
Step 5: To proceed, click on the icon as shown below.
Step 6: Select the Asia region.
Step 7: Here, navigate to the Vietnam country near the bottom of the page.
Step 8: Press Download to start the downloading process. It may take about 10 minutes depending on your network speed.
Once the download is complete, Vietnam will appear on the downloaded map section.
Now you can utilize Here Drive for voice-guided directions even without wifi or 3G connection. Here Drive map proves invaluable while driving, especially in areas with poor network coverage.
