To initiate external shortcuts outside the Shortcuts app, in addition to using Siri commands, we can set up shortcuts on the iPhone screen.
How to set up shortcut keys on the iPhone screen
Follow the steps below to set up shortcut keys on the iPhone screen:
Step 1: First, open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 2: Next, locate and tap on the three-dot icon at the top right corner of the shortcut, the shortcut key you want to add to the iPhone's home screen.
Step 3: On the next window, tap on the three-dot icon at the top right corner again.
Step 4: The next step is to tap on the shortcut name and begin renaming. To add or change the icon, simply tap on the current icon, then choose any custom icon.
Step 5: Once done, select the Add to Home Screen option.
Step 6: Next, find and tap on Add at the top right corner of the screen to install and add the shortcut to the iPhone's home screen.
Now, the added shortcut will be displayed on the screen. Just tap on the shortcut to open the app and use it.
