This method helps you:
- Obtain the download link for the Vietnamese installation app
- Install Vietnamese language on Android yourself
On the current market, over half of the phones are imported Android phones. While some have Vietnamese language support, most do not. Therefore, to solve the issue of installing Vietnamese language on Android, you should refer to the guide below for more details.
Guide to installing Vietnamese language on Android devices
Install Vietnamese language for Android, setting up Vietnamese language for your Android phone
Step 1: First, download the MoreLocale 2 for Android app onto your device and install it.
Step 2: Next, proceed to open the MoreLocale 2 application.
Step 3: Now, select Vietnamese as the display language and Vietnamese to complete the setup.
- Note:
- Since Android version 4.2 Jelly Bean, the definition of CHANGE_CONFIGURATION protection has changed. Therefore, if you're not using development tools, you won't be able to grasp system permissions and install Vietnamese for Android.
- You can still use the 'pm' command to gain system control and install Vietnamese for Android. If you have SuperUser privileges on your device, MoreLocale 2 can achieve permission automatically.
To use the 'pm' command, follow these steps:
Step 1: Activate USB Debug Mode in Settings >Developer Options >USB Debugging. On some Android devices, Developer Options may be located elsewhere.
Step 2: Connect your phone to the computer using a connecting cable. Then, open CMD in Windows 10, 7, 8 with admin rights, the highest administrative privileges. Mytour has previously introduced how to open CMD in Windows 10 with admin rights, you can follow that guide.
Step 3: In the CMD interface (Admin), type the following command:
adb shell
This command allows setting adb to shell mode, where users can directly input commands into the phone connected to the computer. Next, enter the command below:
> pm grant jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale android.permisson.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION
Step 4: Try changing the locale and check the result. This way, you can gain permission to edit the language, and the language only resets after the user restarts the phone.
This is how Mytour has just introduced a way to install Vietnamese for Android. As soon as you select Vietnamese, your device will switch to the Vietnamese interface. Additionally, refer to setting up the Vietnamese keyboard for Android for more details.
