This method helps you: Easily configure WiFi for each network
Progress in Internet and WiFi connections for laptops, mobile phones has become a daily necessity for us in both our personal lives and work. WiFi modem routers play a crucial role as smart devices are widely used nowadays. There are times when you encounter internet connections slowing down or even fail to catch WiFi signals.
Setting up your TP-Link, Tenda, Viettel modem wifi and more.
Instead of relying on technicians for wifi setup, here's how to troubleshoot. Follow these steps to configure your wifi, including TP-Link, Tenda, Vnpt, Viettel modems. Not only can you change passwords for security and prevent neighbors from leeching your wifi, but you also give your devices a well-deserved rest after hours of operation.
How to Set Up Wifi, TP-Link, Tenda, Vnpt, Viettel Modems
1. Setting up wifi, TP-Link modems.
Step 1: Identify the IP address of your wifi device.
Typically, to do this, simply flip your device over to find all the necessary information printed by the manufacturer, including the IP address and password needed for access.
As seen in the image, the device's IP address is 192.168.1.1, with the default login credentials being admin. Additionally, for all TP Link devices, you can replace the IP address range by accessing http://tplinklogin.net.
However, if you can't find the IP address needed to configure and change the wifi password as shown, you can apply a method to check the IP address on your computer to discover the IP address on that device. You can use this IP address check method with various devices.
In many cases, devices are configured by technicians with different IP ranges, making it impossible to access the default IP address. Therefore, if you want to configure and set up wifi passwords yourself, you must reset the device to its original state by using a pin and holding it on the reset button until all the device's indicator lights are lit simultaneously, then release it. Wait for the device to automatically regain its IP address before logging in with the default account as above.
Step 2: Connect the wifi device to your computer via LAN cable (Plug the network cable into the yellow LAN port). Use any web browser to access the IP address 192.168.1.1 or the link http://tplinklogin.net with the username and password admin.
Step 3: The wifi router management interface appears. On the left column, select Network > LAN to change the IP address, then press Save to have the device change back to the default IP range (this step helps your device avoid IP conflicts with the modem).
Step 4: Next, in the left column, select Wireless > Wireless Settings. Here, enter a new wifi name in the Wireless Network Name section and then press Save as shown below.
Step 5: Finally, set a password for the wifi router. Also in the Wireless tab, select Wireless Security.
In the Version and Encryption sections, it's recommended to set the mode to Automatic so that most devices can connect to the wifi. The Wireless Password section is where you enter the password for the device. Once you've set all the parameters, press Save to save the process.
That completes the setup process for TP Link wifi, now all you need to do is take the internet cable from the modem and plug it into the WAN port of the device, and you can start using wifi on other handheld devices.
2. Setting up wifi, Tenda modem wifi.
Step 1: Similar to TP Link, after identifying the IP range of the device, you can access it through any web browser. Typically, the default address for Tenda is 192.168.0.1 with the password admin.
Step 2: Choose DHCP and enter the desired WiFi password in the Security Key field, then press OK.
Step 3: Press Advanced to enter the device's custom settings. Here, click on the Wireless tab, enter a new wifi name in the SSID (Network Name) field, then press OK to save.
Now you've finished setting up Tenda wifi. Simply unplug the cable from your computer and plug it into the modem port, then connect the other end to the WAN port on the wifi router. For VNPT, Viettel, and some other brands, you can follow similar simple steps. However, each device may have different login credentials, such as VNPT using the username/password megavnn.
