Lately, I've noticed many women flaunting their luxury brand cosmetics gifted by their significant others, which makes me a tad envious! However, I prefer sticking to Vietnamese products—budget-friendly and top-quality.
1. Thorakao Sunscreen Cream - $1.00
This sunscreen cream feels as smooth as butter, absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy or shiny residue. While it may initially appear a bit white upon application on the face, it blends seamlessly on the skin. What I love most about it is how it effortlessly rinses off during showers, unlike many other brands. Given its affordable price, you can liberally apply the standard amount of sunscreen (about 10ml - 15ml for the whole body) without worrying about being overly thrifty as with expensive alternatives.

2. Herbal Moisturizer by Skinna – $40.00 for 2 jars for day and night use
This is a premium natural skincare line from Vietnam. Despite its seemingly high price tag, those who have tried it swear by its quality and effectiveness! I religiously apply a bit every morning and evening. After nearly 2 weeks, I noticed my skin becoming noticeably softer, without any bleaching effects. I was thrilled to find out it doesn't contain any whitening agents. So, I persisted with this routine for almost 4 months. Oh my goodness! I took a selfie and couldn't recognize my own skin—it was so smooth, pores visibly tightened, and, most importantly, absolutely no whitening effect. Though slightly disappointed, I remained optimistic and continued using it alongside The Body Shop's seaweed and vitamin E serum, which I've integrated into my skincare routine like clockwork! Up to now, I've used up 2 sets completely, and even old acquaintances couldn't recognize me when I bumped into them. I'm not one to boast, but my legs are probably as stunningly long as Ngoc Trinh's by now (!!!)

3. Vedette Tea Tree Oil Acne Gel - $1.50
While this acne gel may be affordable, its effectiveness is anything but mediocre. Vedette's tea tree gel can reduce acne spots in just 1 to 2 days, delivering rapid and impressive results comparable to the famous tea tree oil from The Body Shop, but at a fraction of the cost. With its characteristic slightly dark scent and transparent green color, applying this gel gives a refreshing sensation. In addition to tea tree extract, this gel also contains salicylic acid and ethanol, known for their antibacterial properties, effectively cleansing pores, commonly found in acne skincare products.

4. Wondera Acne and Scar Cream - $3.00
At first, I was terrified of its smell, but because my face was covered in acne and scars, I had to 'grin and bear it.' However, after applying and washing it off, I felt much more comfortable. The acne didn't disappear immediately, but it did stimulate them to come to a head faster. After using it for just under 2 weeks, all my friends were surprised to see my acne and scars significantly reduced. In my opinion, this Wondera cream is better for treating long-standing scars rather than new ones. Because new acne is a sign of skin damage, applying this can cause dryness. Another interesting thing is that you can use this cream as a substitute for concealer to erase those annoying acne scars.

Vietnamese skincare products are also very effective in treating acne scars!
5. Milaganics Grapefruit Spray Serum - $3.00
This serum is a delight to use—non-greasy, pleasantly fragrant (smells of grapefruit essential oil), and refreshing. It effectively cools and cleanses the scalp, preventing dandruff. It's incredibly convenient as you can carry it to the office. Whenever I have a moment, I whip it out and spray. My colleagues have also tried it and got addicted, always asking me to buy it for them. Anyway, I must admit this stuff works wonders! My hair grows faster and feels much smoother than before.
