How to Share Audio on Google Meet
1. Configure Audio Settings in Google Meet
To ensure that participants in your Meet meeting can clearly hear the audio you're sharing, you need to adjust the audio settings in Google Meet as follows:
Step 1: In your Google Meet meeting/classroom, click on the three-dot icon (More options) and select Settings.
Step 2: In the Settings window, select the Audio tab. Here, you'll see various audio devices. Choose Stereo Mix to broadcast system audio.
If you select Microphone, it will capture your voice. When the volume of the sound you want to share is loud enough, participants in the meeting/class may still hear the sound, but not clearly. Therefore, to ensure the best audio quality, choose Stereo Mix.

Step 1: Press Windows + I to open Settings. Then, select System > Sound.
Step 2: Under the Related Settings section on the right side of the screen, click on the Sound Control Panel option.
Step 3: In the Sound window, switch to the Recording tab and right-click on Stereo Mix > select Enable > OK.
2. How to Share Audio on Google Meet
After completing the audio settings setup steps, follow the instructions below to share audio on Google Meet:
Step 1: Open the web page containing the audio you want to share, such as a YouTube video.
Step 2: Join or organize a Google Meet meeting/class on your computer. Then, click on the Present Now option (rectangle icon with an arrow inside) on the toolbar within the meeting screen.
Step 3: Among the 3 screen sharing options provided by Google Meet, select A Tab (One tab).
Step 4: After clicking on this option, all tabs open in your browser will be displayed. Choose the tab with the audio you want to share and check the Share Audio option (Share audio of the tab) located at the bottom left corner of the screen. Finally, click on the Share button.
Additionally, you can also share a video or audio file stored on your computer using the screen share option in Google Meet. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the video or audio file using video and music viewing software on your computer.
Step 2: Join or organize a Google Meet meeting/class on your computer. Then, click on the Present Now option (rectangle icon with an arrow inside) on the toolbar within the meeting screen.
Step 3: Among the 3 screen sharing options provided by Google Meet, select A window.
Step 4: In the application window sharing window, select Movies & TV to share video, or Groove Music if you're sharing audio files, and click the Share button.
Note: When sharing an application window, ensure that the window you want to share is maximized rather than minimized.
