Technical Specifications
- Driver: 40mm dynamic driver diameter. - Impedance: 64 Ohms. The left earpiece boasts a convenient button allowing us to accept or decline calls, play or pause music, or skip tracks. Meanwhile, the right earpiece features Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm jack, and a micro-USB charging port. The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 30 hours of playback. This is particularly handy for those who dislike having to charge a non-essential device like headphones on a daily basis. A standout feature of the Major II is its music-sharing capability; simply plug another person's headphones into the 3.5mm jack on the Major II. This is incredibly convenient for watching movies together in scenarios such as on a plane. But alas, such moments together are fleeting.
Despite Marshall Major II being relatively lightweight, it grips tightly onto the head, making the listening experience quite uncomfortable. Coupled with the small and square-shaped ear cups, it exerts significant pressure on the ears, especially for those with larger earlobes. It's impossible to listen to a full album of about 60 minutes with the Major II because after 30 minutes, the ears start to feel uncomfortable. This is the nature of on-ear headphones; the ear cups press directly against the ears instead of enveloping them completely. However, it seems Marshall didn't do a good job with the ear cups on the Major II, compromising its crisp sound quality. In conclusion
Currently, Marshall's Major lineup has reached its fourth generation. However, if you're seeking headphones from a renowned audio brand, prioritizing clear, crisp sound over build quality (and with small ear cups), then Marshall Major II is a good choice within its price range. Pros: - Comes from a renowned brand - Bold Marshall design - Long-lasting battery life - Crisp, clear sound quality
- Fast connectivity
- Music sharing capability
Cons:
- Bass can be a bit chaotic with some complex music genres
- Slightly flimsy finishing upon close inspection
