I bet many of you reading this have felt lonely at least once or perhaps multiple times. Loneliness can lead to feelings of sadness and thoughts that devalue oneself. It's not just about being alone, but it's much more complex. Overcoming loneliness requires our efforts. Here, I'd like to share some ways to help you somewhat step out of loneliness and return to a happier life.1 – Recognize that you are feeling lonely

1 – Embrace being your own best ally
Though it might sound discordant, the feeling of solitude arises not only when we lack company but also when surrounded by a crowd. It's the 'lost in the crowd' sensation. Loneliness can be a direct response to a lack of connection with oneself. Understand yourself first and better than anyone else. This involves self-care because it's challenging to know what you want if your basic needs aren't met. Good habits, such as staying hydrated or engaging in gentle exercise, become even more crucial when one feels alone.2 – Dive into something refreshingly new
Just like scrolling through social media, let's consider minimizing phone usage. Invest time in what truly matters. Constantly scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok doesn't help alleviate loneliness.
6 – Seek help from friends or counseling experts
If you feel the need to talk to someone, reach out to friends or counseling professionals. Whether in person or over the phone, engaging in these conversations helps us release the heavy burden that loneliness brings and instills confidence that we are not overlooked.
Here are some of my thoughts to combat the loneliness that everyone experiences in life. Loneliness is neither good nor bad; it's just a feeling we all go through. If anyone has any tips, feel free to share in the comments. Thanks for reading, everyone.
