Hunting for Flight Deals

The earlier you hunt for flight deals, the cheaper they tend to be.
Flying Isn't Necessarily More Expensive Than Taking Trains or Buses
Opt for Budget-Friendly, Centrally Located Hotels

Affordable Budget Hotels
After researching and comparing prices of various hotels based on criteria such as affordability, cleanliness, and proximity to the city center, I found that hotels in the Hồ Nghinh Street area of Da Nang were quite affordable, within walking distance to the beach, and offered clean rooms. Therefore, for my two-day stay in Da Nang, I booked a hotel room for 280,000 VND per night for a double room. Then, for my last day in Hoi An, I opted for a slightly more upscale hotel with a pool, but still reasonably priced at 460,000 VND per night for a double room. This hotel, located on Trần Hưng Đạo Street, is situated in the bustling center of Hoi An.
Get Around by Motorbike

Plenty of Options for Renting Scooters for Independent Day Trips
Based on my personal experience, besides long-distance travel like from downtown Da Nang to Hoi An, it's more convenient to take a taxi to avoid fatigue and carrying luggage. For other journeys, renting a scooter is preferable. I rented a scooter from the hotel for just 80,000 VND to 120,000 VND per day, depending on the type of scooter (you fill up the gas yourself). With around 50,000 VND worth of gas, you can comfortably explore both the city center and My Khe beach area for two days.
Dine Like a Local

Eat at Local Markets
You don't need luxurious restaurants to enjoy good food. Instead, opt for local eateries frequented by locals. This way, you'll get reasonably priced, delicious meals while experiencing authentic local flavors. Based on my own experience, apart from gathering information about dishes and addresses on forums, I often ask motorcycle taxi drivers or hotel receptionists for recommendations. During my recent trip to Da Nang, I frequently dined at Con Market, Han Market, or other popular local eateries. Don't forget to try dishes like banh xeo, snail salad, fermented fish noodle soup, banh bot loc, wet cakes, or durian sweet soup.
The above are just personal experiences I've gathered, so they might not be the ultimate tips. If you have more experiences, feel free to share!
