1. Activate Handoff Feature and Save Contacts
To share passwords on iPhone, you need to enable the Handoff feature on both devices. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Navigate to Settings => General (1) => Handoff (2).
Step 2: Toggle the Handoff switch to turn it on.
For iOS 13 and above: To activate Handoff on iOS 13, go to Settings => General, then select Airplay & Handoff (1) => Handoff (2).
Step 3: Save each other's contact with iCloud email addresses for this feature to work. Open Contacts and create new contacts with each other's email addresses. Note: If both devices share the same iCloud account, you can skip this step.
2. Share WiFi on iPhone with Handoff
Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center. Then, tap on the WiFi and Bluetooth icons on both devices (1) and (2).
Step 2: Return to device (1) to find and enter the WiFi password. At this point, on device (2), there will be a notification Share Password. Tap on that item to share the WiFi password to the other device.
After device (2) receives the Completed notification, device (1) has successfully connected to WiFi as shown below. On device (2), tap on Done to dismiss that notification.
