The iPad Pro 12.9 is sufficiently capable and highly reliable to assist users in handling everyday tasks such as web browsing, movie streaming, and document editing. Hence, it consistently ranks among Apple's best-selling devices.
The design has been rigorously tested and proven successful.
The iPad Pro 12.9 retains its signature boxy aluminum body. It sports a 12.9-inch display with relatively thick bezels on the front, a wide-angle 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera, and a square camera module on the rear.
At the top of the device is the lock button, while the right edge of the iPad houses the volume adjustment button, a magnetic connector for the Apple Pencil, and a Nano SIM tray. As for connectivity, the device features only one Thunderbolt/USB 4 port for usage.
iPad Pro's audio output relies on a four-speaker system (two speaker grilles at the top and two at the bottom) with four microphones (three at the top and one on the left) for input.
The new iPad Pro is slightly heavier than last year's version. Specifically, it weighs 1.51 pounds compared to last year's 1.41 pounds.

The display offers sharp visuals for excellent display quality.
Apple has upgraded its standard Liquid Retina display on the larger iPad to a Liquid Retina XDR display with mini-LED technology.
This also means the device's colors appear much sharper and more vibrant with significantly higher contrast.
In fact, colors on the iPad Pro 12.9 are much deeper and more vibrant compared to the previous version. It also provides a much better viewing experience by offering a wide color gamut, well-managed highlights, and stable color contrast.
This is particularly useful for advertisers intending to use the iPad Pro for photo and video editing.
This is also why the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is heavier than the previous model. Apple had to completely redesign the display to support high brightness and backlight with mini-LEDs.

The powerful M1 chip delivers incredibly impressive performance.
Initially, when Apple decided to use its in-house Silicon chip on iMac and MacBooks, it was indeed a big issue.
Especially since the company ultimately abandoned the use of Intel processors. But Apple has always used in-house chips for its iPads, so transitioning from the A-series chip to the M1 doesn't make much of a difference.
According to Apple, the M1 chip provides CPU performance that's over 50% faster than the A12Z Bionic, and its 8-core GPU is a different breed, delivering up to 40% faster GPU performance.
But for basic users like me, who only use the iPad Pro for simple tasks like word processing, Netflix streaming, email and iMessage replies, feeling the real difference is quite difficult.
In terms of performance, users won't encounter any issues with the device. In simultaneous testing running Google Drive, Spotify, Google Calendar, Slack, Gmail, Messenger, Telegram, iMessage, and Chrome, the device still runs fast and smoothly.
Regarding battery life, Apple claims up to 10 hours of battery life for the iPad Pro 12.9. And indeed, after using the aforementioned apps for about seven hours, the device still has around 22% battery remaining.
This is definitely a worthwhile upgrade on the device that makes users seriously consider.
