- Ginger: 1 small piece
- Bamboo shoots: 1 small stalk
- Oyster sauce: 1 teaspoon
- Cooking oil: 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- Sugar: 1.5 teaspoons
- Black pepper: ½ teaspoon
Dough:
- Wheat flour: 130g
- Cornstarch: 70g
- Boiling water: 80ml
- Cooking oil: 2 tablespoons
How to Make Shrimp-filled Dimsum:
Step 1: Prepare the Dimsum filling
- Peel and finely chop the ginger after washing it thoroughly.
- Clean and finely chop the bamboo shoots.
- Clean the fresh shrimp, remove the black veins on the back, finely chop, and place in a bowl.
- Mix the shrimp thoroughly with oyster sauce, cooking oil, black pepper, sesame oil, salt, sugar, ginger, and bamboo shoots.
- Wrap the bowl of shrimp with food wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Marinate the shrimp for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Make Dimsum Wrappers

- Place wheat flour and cornstarch into a large bowl.
- Slowly pour boiling water into the bowl while stirring the mixture evenly. Add the prepared cooking oil into the mixture and mix well.
- Once the dough has cooled slightly, knead it for a few minutes until smooth, then roll the dough into a long cylinder shape.
- Divide it into 18 equal parts. Form each portion of dough into a round ball, then roll out the dough into thin sheets to make wrappers with a diameter of about 8cm.
Step 3: Shape and Steam Dimsum

- Take out the shrimp filling, divide it evenly into 18 portions corresponding to the 18 dough wrappers.
- Place the filling in the center of the dough wrapper and fold the edges to form a crescent shape. Repeat until all filling and wrappers are used up.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil, place the dimsum in a steaming basket, then place it in the pot. Steam for 6 minutes.
- Transfer the Dimsum to a plate for decoration or leave them in the steaming basket.
