You can easily set up displaying multiple monitors simultaneously on Windows 10. However, each monitor will show an identical taskbar. For some individuals, this can be visually distracting, hence the importance of configuring the taskbar to appear on only one monitor with Windows 10.
Displaying the Taskbar on a Single Monitor with Windows 10
Step 1: After you've set up multiple monitors on your computer, press the Windows + I key combination to open the Windows Settings window.
Step 2: In the Windows Settings window, select the System section.
Step 3: In the Display tab, on the right-hand side, choose the monitor labeled as either number 1 or number 2, then scroll down to the bottom and check the option Make this my main display to designate it as the primary monitor.
Step 4: Return to the main menu of Windows Settings and select Personalization .
Step 5: In the Personalization section, choose the Taskbar tab on the left panel and deactivate/activate the Show taskbar on all displays option by clicking the slider below to turn it Off.
Congratulations! You've completed the steps to set up displaying the taskbar on a single monitor with Windows 10. After completing the setup, you'll notice that the taskbar on the secondary monitor is no longer visible and only appears on the primary monitor you selected in Step 3.
